Imposter
Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 17, 2026
Imposter is a pass-and-play party game that runs entirely on your device. This privacy policy explains what information the app does and does not collect.
Information We Collect
None. Imposter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app has no user accounts, no servers, and makes no network requests.
Information You Enter
The player names and imposter count you enter on the setup screen are saved locally on
your device using iOS's standard app preferences (UserDefaults) so that the
setup screen restores its state the next time you open the app. This information stays on
your device — it is never synced, shared, or sent anywhere.
Role assignments and the secret word for a round exist only in memory while the app is running and are not persisted.
To clear the saved setup, tap Reset Options on the setup screen, or delete the app — uninstalling removes all of its local data.
Analytics and Tracking
Imposter contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.
Children's Privacy
Because Imposter does not collect any information, it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app is safe for use by players of any age.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
