Imposter
The pass-and-play party game where one of you is faking it.
Pass your phone around the table. Everyone sees a secret word — except the imposters. Talk it out. Guess who's faking. Play again.
How it works
- 1
Set up the round
Enter the names of everyone playing and pick how many imposters there should be. Your roster sticks around for next time.
- 2
Pass & long-press to reveal
Each player taps their name, then long-presses to peek. Most players see the secret word — but the imposters see nothing.
- 3
Discuss the round
The app picks a random first speaker. Ask questions, drop hints, bluff. When you're ready to vote, tap to end the round.
- 4
Reveal the imposters
Lock in your guesses, then reveal who was faking. Play another round with the same crew or jump back to settings.
Built for the table
-
One phone, any size group
Works with 3 players or a packed dining room. Pass it around — that's the whole setup.
-
Hold-to-reveal secrets
Your role only shows while you press. Lift your finger and it's gone — no peeking over shoulders.
-
Multiple imposters
Bump the imposter count up for bigger groups or harder rounds.
-
Hundreds of words
A built-in word list keeps every round fresh. No setup, no themes to pick.
-
Truly offline
No accounts, no internet, no analytics. The app makes zero network requests, ever.
-
Plays nice on iPad
Same game, bigger screen — great for kids' parties and game nights.
